national treasure, how many do we have?

I will start off to say I loved the first National Treasure. And not because it was such a “great” movie, but it was great entertainment. So, with the announcement of the second one, I wanted to see it in theaters. I have to say I was quite disappointed. Don’t read if you don’t want to read spoilers, at least the blatant ones.

I’m not sure what I was expecting really, as it’s pretty obvious that they’ll find the city of gold. There was no story line that got to the point. Or rather, it was rushed and not really developed. All through the movie it felt like a bit of a chore. Maybe it was because it was obvious. I’m not entirely sure, but there was just nothing to grasp.

I think my viewpoint might be skewed by the fact I rarely go to the movies. When I do, I expect to fully enjoy it. This did not happen. This gets at least a rental approval though.

On a side note, I think I need a book to read.
